Washington is doing nothing. I'm tired of every current issue simply being passed to the next congress and administration. We didn't elect the nation's leaders to pay them to look pretty for the next four months, and let's face it, very few of them are capable of getting by on their looks. It seems like they are all spending their time campaigning for re-election or for someone else instead of doing what we elected them to do in the first place. But the truth is they are just procrastinating. The Democrat run Congress is anticipating a new Democrat administration. Of course their liberal, let's admit it… socialistic, policies will have the backing of the White House if Obama wins, not the strong resistance under Bush. There would be some resistance under a McCain administration, but much less than with Bush. So putting off controversial policies which would more likely pass next year shows voters the existing agenda of the current Democrat run Congress. They have no regard for the views and beliefs of Middle America. The liberals have no intention of crossing party lines or working with conservatives now or in the future. They hope to win presidentially by a small margin, maintain a small congressional majority, monopolize Washington, and take over. Unfortunately most Americans understand nothing about how the government really works (or doesn't) and pay little or no attention to the real truth.
