Actual Politics is our answer to typical polarized politics.  Started by Terry, Phillip and David; Actual Politics has grown to a much more ambitious project than ever imagined.  We started by collecting articles and blog entries from around the web to initiate debate in the forum.  We now have over two dozen contributing writers, a newswire feed for daily updates, weekly videos, and more!    

In the world of politics, there is no such thing as 'objective.'  Everything from the spin an author writes with to the subject she chooses to cover - they all have a slant.   This isn't something to be angry about, it's something to celebrate. 

Terry and Phill are all veterans of the United States Navy and are currently contractors working in Bahrain. Dave, who is still enlisted, is stationed in Bahrain.

Our goal is to offer political commentary from the complete political spectrum.   Here you will be able to rate the spin on all commentary, news, and videos.  If you've ever wanted to tell a writer just how extreme his/her writing is, this is the place to do it!   When you rate the spin of media, our system updates our database and monitors the overall site affiliation.  This keeps us from veering too far left or right of center. 

We also offer a forum for debate and discussion.  We believe debate is healthy for democracy, and we've all learned more about politics during debates than random browsing.  So put your ideas to the test in the forum, debate your issues.  You're bound to learn something, or at least teach someone else.
